  • FITS files from all instruments have to be reviewed and approved by Subaru FITS committee.
  • Formatting must be defined by considering the significant figures of each keyword value.
  • Adding new values for a keyword with a pre-defined list of possible values has to be reviewed and approved by Subaru FITS committee.
  • Add a regulation on the use of data compression of a FITS file.
  • New possible values for DATA-TYP: ACQUISITION and FOCUSING.

Header regulation

  • Headers and formats of operating facility instruments are made public by SAs under the web page of each instrument.
  • Grouping of keywords is strongly recommended even by mixing basic and instrument-specific keywords. Previous regulation is also supported.

Basic keywords

  • LONGPOLE and RADECSYS are changed to obsolete.
  • Possible values of FOC-POS are changed to Cassegrain, COUDE, Nasmyth-IR, Nasmyth-Opt, and PRIME.
  • Possible values of OBS-ALOC are changed to Observation and Standby.
  • Values of OBS-MOD are referred to the regulation document.
