Observer can use this workstation freely for quick look and simple reduction and analysis at the summit. User ID (u0xxxx) and Password for logging on ANA(ANA2, AWS[1-3]) can be found in your observation kit distributed by Operation Center. .2 Change directory to "Procedure". .3 Transfer your observation procedure file (*.ope) to here (~/Procedure/) using FTP or SFTP/SCP. The ope file must have the extention of ".ope". .4 Change file permission and make sure that your ope file is editable. % chmod 664 xxx.ope(your ope file) Notes: You may directly edit the ope file here, too. Please make a copy of the file before you start editing it. You cannot connect from your laptop to ANA directly. Please connect (sftp/ftp/ssh/telnet) from ANA to your laptop. Alternatively, please transfer your files by way of a g-workstation, which can be accessible from both ANA and your laptop. .5 You can check syntax errors in your ope file using a UNIX command "check_proc xxx.ope(your ope file)". .6 Ask instrument operator to load the ope file. If there is an error, a pop-up window appears and tells you where you find the error. Correct and try to load it again. .7 Ask instrument operator to reload the ope file when you have edited the ope file. Note: ANA, ANA2, AWS[1-3] are sharing the same home directory via NFS mount. You may be able to edit your ope file from either of machines.
