Modes supported in S24A
SCExAO
The nearIR WFS can be used with the following SCExAO modes :- CHARIS low-red broadband
- CHARIS hi-red J, H or K-band
- CHARIS PDI
- VAMPIRES imaging
- VAMPIRES PDI
- MEC y and J band
- REACH
The nearIR WFS cannot be used with fast polarization imaging (FPDI) FPDI cannot be co-scheduled with nearIR WFS as switching between the two modes required daytime instrument reconfiguration.
IRD
The NearIR WFS cannot be used with standard IRD operation (light extracted within AO188)
REACH operation (light extracted within SCExAO) is supported.IRCS
The nearIR WFS can be used with the following IRCS modes :- 20 mas imaging mode with Y- , J- , H- , and K - band
- Echelle mode with zJ- , J- , H- , and K - band
The nearIR WFS is incompatible with IRCS operation in L and M bands, and is incompatible with IRCS-polarimaetry
