Hyper Suprime-Cam Queue Mode Observation Workshop

First circular

HSC queue-mode workshop (1st circular)

WS web page: http://www.naoj.org/Observing/queue/queuews2015/

Subaru Telescope, NAOJ plans to have the first HSC queue-mode workshop
on June 16th and 17th in Mitaka campus of NAOJ.

Subaru Telescope plans to introduce queue-mode observation to Hyper
Suprime-Cam (HSC) open-use observations, step-by-step starting from
S16A (Feb. to July 2016). In queue-mode observation, PI of accepted
proposals are requested to submit observing conditions and observing
plans in advance, and the observations are carried out without the
participation of the proposers on site.
The goal of this workshop is to explain to users the overview of
queue-mode, procedures from proposal submission to data delivery,
and actions requested to users, so that potential users become ready
for Call for Proposals of S16A which is scheduled to be issued in
early August 2015. Some hands-on session using beta-version of tools
is also planned.
We would like to encourage the current and future HSC observers to
participate this workshop.
