Coverages

1. Accommodation

Subaru Telescope will pay for the room charge and charges/taxes added to the basic room charge for stay at Royal Kona Resort between March 12 (check in) and March 18, 2005 (check out) for one or two persons per room. The third and fourth person in the room is $35.00 each, plus tax per night and is charged to the person. Children, 17 years of age and younger, are free of charge when sharing the same room as parent(s). A maximum of four persons to a room is allowed. The reservation at the Royal Kona Resort must be made through us. You cannot directly contact the hotel to make or change your reservations. If you stay earlier than March 12 or later than March 18, or use optional expenses such as parking, cleaning, telephone or room service, you are responsible for additional charges. The rate is $109.00 plus tax (about $122.00 total) per room per night for stay up to three days prior to and three days after the meeting. If you stay at a hotel other than the Royal Kona Resort, you are responsible for the entire accommodation charge and Subaru Telescope will not pay for it.

2. Pickup and Drop-off shuttles between the hotel and Kona Airport

We will provide a free transportation to those who arrive on March 12 and those who depart on March 18. If you need a ride, please sign up on the registration page.

3. Activities

All the activities are free of charge, with exceptions below;

Reception - Sun Mar 12: You are to pay for your alcoholic beverages.
Summit Tour - Tue Mar 14: The Summit Tour is available to people who are 16 years or older. We are not providing child care for anyone less than 16 years. For potential risks of going to high altitudes, and for other information about the summit visit, select Visiting the Subaru Telescope.
Excursion - Thu Mar 16: Excursion to Volcano and Subaru Telescope Base Facility is open to people of all ages.
Banquet - Fri Mar 17: All food and beverage is inclusive and free of charge to you.
