Please read carefully below before sending the registration form. Application of presentations and grants is accepted at the Pre-registration page.

Registration:

Registration Fee includes a programme & abstracts booklet, a welcome reception, a conference dinner, coffee break, transport to/from Fukuoka Science Museum and a lunch box on Friday, Oct. 12, 2007.

Registration Fees:

Regular Registration Fee is 25,000 yen and Student Registration Fee is 12,000 yen.

Accompanying Person:

Fee is waived for accompanying person who attends reception and who goes to Fukuoka Science Museum. The conference dinner for each accompanying person costs 8,000 yen.

Hotel Information:

Hotel reservation was closed on September 7. Although we cannot guarantee the availability, we will try our best to book your hotel at this time. Below are the hotels we can arrange;

Open Google map by clicking on here and enter "EAMA7 Hotels" for keywords to search. You will see the location of the above hotels. Google map has Japan map labeled only in Japanese. But you may be able to see how far or near the hotels are from the conference venue, the airport or the railway station.

There is convenient mass transportation available in Fukuoka. You may reach Fukuoka International Congress Center, the EAMA7 venue, from any of above hotels by bus or subway.

Confirmation is e-mailed once the hotel reservation is done (after September 14). Show ID and a credit card you used for reservation upon check-in.

Billing Information and Cancellation Policy:

  • The Hotel reservation is only guaranteed if the hotel receives a personal & valid credit card with expiry date, which should be presented upon check in.
  • In case of cancellation until 3 days before your reservation date, 1,500 Yen + 1.5% of the total amount cancellations fees will apply.
  • In case of cancellation between 3 days before and the 1 day before the reservation date, 1,500 Yen + 1.5% + 20% (of 1 night room charge) cancellations fees will apply.
  • In case of cancellation after 1 day before, 1,500 Yen + 1.5% + 80% (of 1 night room charge) cancellation fee will apply.
  • In case of cancellation after October 8, 2007 or in case of non-show or in case of early departure, cancellation fees of 1,500 Yen + 1.5% + 100% (of 2 nights room charge, if applicable) will apply.

Change of reservations after submitting the registration form:

Please contact should you need to change your reservations. Although we will make the best effort to accommodate your requests, we may need to ask you some compromise, such as the hotel you will stay, or we may have to collect a fee for the change.

Visa Application:

If you need an invitation letter for applying VISA, please contact Dr. Fumi Yoshida or Mr. Masanori Kakiage at irc@nao.ac.jp. If you feel uncomfortable sending personal information through e-mail, please FAX to us at +81-422-34-3687. The following information is needed to issue the invitation letter:

  • Full Name as appear on Your Passport (For those from China and Taiwan: Full name in Chinese characters is required as well.)
  • Passport Number
  • Nationality
  • Institute Name
  • Job Title
  • Postal Address
  • Telephone Number
  • Sex
  • Date of Birth
  • Travel Plan (Your arrival and departure date, your flight information are required.) The same information is necessary for person(s) accompanying with you.

We will send you an official invitation letter as soon as possible after receiving your request. Please apply for VISA at the local Japanese Embassy/Consulate/Visa Office A.S.A.P.! Please check the following websites of Japanese embassy in your country to confirm the paper works necessary to apply for Japanese VISA.
