Q and A
Q. What happens once I complete the
pre-registration?
A. You will receive a confirmation e-mail within ten minutes after you
complete filling the pre-registration form. The e-mail contains ID and password
you need to enter to return to the pre-registration page so that you can
change/edit. If you did not receive the confirmation e-mail, please contact us ( ).
Q. What information do I have to enter
for pre-registration?
A. You have to enter your personal information such as name,
address, affiliation and e-mail address. If you plan to give a talk
or place a poster, you can enter the title, author(s) and abstract.
And if you request financial support or grant, you can sign up the
request.
Q. When is the due for Pre-registration?
A. We closed the pre-registration. However, if you are already
pre-registered, you can go back to the pre-registration page and
update abstract, etc.
Q. What happens if you select "Personal"
or "MailList" for Type next to Email address in the pre-registration
form?
A. If you choose "Personal", you will receive the confirmation
e-mail. If you choose "MailList", you will not receive the
confirmation e-mail. Whichever you choose, the public announcements
from the organizers will be equally e-mailed to the address you
provided.
Q. Are all the abstracts I submitted
automatically accepted?
A. All the submitted abstracts will be reviewed by SOC. SOC
will finally decide which presentations will be accepted. The first
authors will be notified if their submissions were accepted. Please
check up the Program page.
Q. When the registration start?
A. LOC is now working hard to set up the registration. The
information for the registration will be available in August.
Q. How is the registration different
from pre-registration?
A. We are just collecting information on pre-registration. We do
not assume all the pre-registered people will attend the meeting.
There is no obligation for you to attend the meeting even if you
choose "I will attend" in the pre-registration form. Registration
is, on the contrary, for those only who decided to attend the
meeting. Upon registration, we will ask payment information (i.e,
credit card information). We will collect registration fee and any
additional charges for various meeting activities, if applicable.
Once you register and if you wish to cancel it, cancellation fees
may apply. We will arrange accommodation in the registration
process. We will collect information regarding
accompanied person to calculate additional fees and to arrange
logistics.
Q. I cannot attend the meeting but want
to present a poster. Can I do it?
A. Of course. Open pre-registration page and select "Not Attend"
in 1. Conference Attendance. Enter 2. Contact Information and write
down how the poster will be brought to the meeting and the name of a
participant who can be a contact person for your poster. And enter
3. Contributions.
