Requirements for a poster

• Minimum size: Letter size (8 ½” x 11”)
  Maximum size: Double Letter size (11” x 17”)
• Theme should include both astronomy (night skies and telescopes) and Hawaiian culture
• No glitters, no glues, no 3-D effects

Rules

• Submit entry at the Puainako (East Hawai`i), Waimea (North Hawai`i) or Kailua (West Hawai`i) KTA Super Stores Courtesy Desk
  • Find your district
• All entries must be received by March 31, 2009 at store closing
• On the back of your entry, print your name, address, phone number, school, age and grade or complete the entry form and secure it to the back of your poster
  
  • Download the entry form (PDF file, 84 KB)

Procedures

• Winners of the three districts (East, North, and West Hawai`i) of each category will be nominated to the Island-wide contest
• The awards ceremony will be held on AstroDay, May 2, 2009 at Prince Kuhio Plaza in Hilo
• All winning posters will be placed on display at KTA Super Stores, `Imiloa Astronomy Center of Hawai`i in Hilo, Onizuka Space Center in Kona, and posted on this Cosmic Poster Contest Official Site
